Frequently Asked Questions

...or "Questions I Get Tired of Answering."

1. What is the deal with corn?

The short answer is that there is no deal with corn.

If I actually attempt to answer this question, I guess it would go something like this: Both the word and the concept of corn has always cracked me up. It's just funny. Maybe it's just me. I am known for taking a joke too far, as long as it still makes me laugh. Who knows, with enough repetition, it might rub off on others. And if not, oh well. It still makes me laugh.

When it came to Episode 11, we needed an arbitrary plant to be outlawed by the government. Corn was the logical choice. It took the joke to the next level. The "too far" level.

Other foods that are funny for no particular reason: cheese, fruit in general, chicken, sausage, beets, saltwater taffy, Slim Jims, and asparagus.

2. How did you meet Gina Ryder?

The answer is in the Behind the Hate section here.

I do a lot of contract web work now, and I have once again found myself thrust into the middle of the porn industry. (Pun intended.) Expect to see another porn star or two in future episodes.

3. What is the deal with the deer?

Again, there is no deal with them. There are a lot of deer on the Academy grounds, and it was only a matter of time before they had a part in THM.

4. I don't get (insert joke here).

First of all, that's not a question. Secondly, if you don't get the joke, it could be because of any of the following reasons:

a.) It's one of those things that I think is funny, but you probably don't. (See Frequently Asked Question 1.)

b.) It's a setup for a joke in a future episode. Sometimes I like to refer to something that was said back a few episodes ago. Other times, I'm planning on taking multiple episodes to tell one joke. For instance, it took me four years to tell the Toner/Sounderson joke.

c.) It refers to something you have never heard of. Because THM is enjoyed by an audience of varying backgrounds and generations, I have put up the references page to help you out. Check it if you don't get something.

d.) You didn't go to the Air Force Academy, or you weren't in the Air Force, or you weren't in the military at all. Some jokes are only relevant to those who were. Also, if you went to USAFA after 2001 or so, things have possibly changed so much that THM seems more like reality than a joke.

e.) If none of the above apply, consider the option that you might just be an idiot.

5. When is the next episode coming out?

When I finish it.

6. Is there another episode coming out?

Yes. I promise to post an announcement on this site, edodo.org, and the THM MySpace page if I should ever decide to kill THM. And that is not any time in the foreseeable future.
